With Fabio taking a sabbatical after last week’s dismal result, it was left to the Captain to rally the troops for the last Crown League of this year’s campaign.

The Parker/Pope Trophy is played between Oak Park and Sherfield Oaks. It was first played for in 2006 and was presented by the then captains (try and guess who was our captain) to commemorate the great greens fiasco of 2005.

The date for the mid week Mixed Greensomes has been moved on a day to Thursday 12th August.

While our very own Fabio was sunning himself in Monte Carlo, and Paul Fenwick retiring from management after one game, it fell to Club Captain to lead out the team at Cams Hall on the day of the England/Germany game.

It was a funny day, nothing seemed right. Neil Dockar said it might not rain, the opposition weren't in team colours, there wasn't any toast with breakfast and Dave Jordan had a red shirt on!

Sunday saw the Oak Park Men's team play their 2nd match in the Crown Golf league against The Hertfordshire...

The OP ladies secured a convincing 4-0 win against Dummer GC at home today...

Oak Park suffered a 4-1 loss in the away match at Bishopswood on Sunday.  The team put up a good fight and we hope to achieve our revenge in July's return match at Oak Park. 

Like gladiators marching into the lion's den our Men's team arrived at Hampton Court with dark clouds approaching and Neil Dockar predicting the worst!

Oak Park had a convincing away win against Windlesham in the Mixed Match on Sunday 9th May.  The score was 6 - 2.  Well done to everyone who played.

Success for four of our Past Lady Captains in the Hampshire Society of Lady Captains Spring Meeting at Hayling Golf Club on 21st April where around 200 plus Ladies played in the Foursomes competition...
